Campsite Rules & Regulations
INTRODUCTION

These rules and regulations govern all persons visiting and staying on the campsite at Ecclesden Farm Caravan & Camping Ltd. All references to "we", "our," and "us" forthwith in these rules and regulations refer to Ecclesden Farm Caravan & Camping Ltd, references to "you" and "your" refer to our camping and day visiting guests, and references to "the grounds" refer to the wider area within the boundaries of Ecclesden Farm, Water Lane, Angmering, BN16 4ER.

LIABILITY

We do not exclude or limit our liability to you where that would prove unlawful. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence on the part of ourselves, or of our employees, agents or subcontractors; or for breach of your legal rights in relation to the services we have agreed to provide to you.

We will not be held responsible nor will pay you any compensation for any loss, damage to property or vehicles, or injury you may incur if it results from: the acts and/or omissions of the person affected; the acts and/or omissions of a third party unconnected with the provision of the services we have agreed to provide to you; any other event beyond our control.

On the grounds and in the surrounding countryside it is possible to encounter uneven ground; while after dark, the available lighting may be insufficient to permit a person to navigate safely without the use of a torch. All guests must therefore take adequate care to avoid accidents - and to ensure children are constantly supervised accordingly. It will not represent negligence on our part where any accident, or damage, or loss of property occurs due to reasons including: poor ground conditions; flooding; inadequate lighting; accidents on the bouncy obstacle course, children riding bicycles, skateboards, or similar means of propulsion; the presence of guide ropes, cordons, and their associated ground stakes; insect or animal stings/bites.

SUPERVISION OF MINORS

All children on the grounds must be kept under constant supervision by a responsible adult. Children using the bouncy obstacle course, and engaging in play activities elsewhere on the grounds, remain the responsibility of their parent(s) or guardian(s) at all times, and must be supervised accordingly. Every child on the grounds must have a parent, guardian, or designated supervising adult that knows where that child is at all times.

ADMISSION TO THE GROUNDS

Ecclesden Farm Caravan & Camping Ltd is private property. Admission to the grounds remains always at our sole discretion. All camping and day visiting arrivals must be in possession of a valid booking, which can be placed via our online booking service only. We reserve the right to refuse entry to the campsite to any party (including when the party has a booking), or to require any party to remove themselves and their possessions from the grounds with immediate effect, without obligation on our part to provide prior notice or reason.

UNSUITABLE BEHAVIOUR

Any persons engaging in behaviour deemed as unsuitable or inappropriate by us will be required to remove themselves and their possessions from the grounds. This includes, but is not limited to, behaviour such as: any that is inappropriate for the presence of young children; swearing anywhere on the grounds where audible to a person not within your own immediate party; being abusive in any way to any person; acting in any way that is deemed to be generally disrespectful or offensive; engaging in actions that might wilfully lead to damage to our property, or to a third party's property; breach of these rules and regulations. No refund or credit will be forthcoming in this eventuality.

VEHICLES

You must comply with all speed limits, parking, and other indicated traffic regulations on the grounds at all times.

All vehicles, caravans, trailer tents, bicycles, and trailers parked, stored or moved on and around the site are done so entirely at the owner's risk.

RESPECT FOR OTHERS & THE LOCAL ENVIRONMENT

We ask all campers to respect at all times the rights and privacy of other campers, and of residents with properties bordering the grounds and lying along local footpaths. Please treat with the utmost respect all landowner’s property and equipment, and be sure to leave all local flora, fauna, and crops just as you found them.

Commercial Vehicles

Commercial vehicles are permitted, but most be removed to the designated area once unloading of the tent or van is complete - where it will need to remain for the duration of stay.

Fire Regulations

Fires are permitted in safe containers only, which must be kept at least 20cms from the ground (i.e. a sturdy BBQ or fire pit). We recommend you select to hire a fire pit from us when booking.

When using a fire pit or BBQ, a bucket of water must always be kept close at hand - please bring your own bucket!

Please note that, in the interests of ensuring no fire burns with too much smoke, it is strictly not permitted to bring along your own wood (of any type). But we do guarantee to always have bags of kiln-dried logs in stock at reception, which are not expensively priced. You can also bring along your own BBQ charcoal/briquettes if you wish.
