  • Earliest arrival time for non-electric bookings and day visitors: 10am

  • Latest departure time for non-electric bookings: 2pm
  • Latest departure time for day visitors: 10pm
LATEST ARRIVAL

The latest arrival time (without prior arrangement otherwise) is 9pm. If you are in a situation where you need to arrive later than this, please get in touch by reply to your booking confirmation email.

Day visitors must leave the park by 10pm, the time at which all vehicle movement ends.

VEHICLE MOVEMENT

No vehicle movement is permitted on the campsite between the hours of 10pm and 6am. With any late arrival or return past 10pm, vehicles must not progress past the reception area.

ALL QUIET PAST 10:30pm

We appreciate you cooperation in please keeping all noise to a bare minimum past 10:30pm.

Payment & Cancellation

The payment and cancellation related policies in effect may vary seasonally, and between the different field options that we offer. So to see the exact policies for your requirements and dates, it is necessary to advance through the initial stages of the booking process to the point that the panel of itemised prices is shown - from where it's possible to open up the applicable policies.

The applicable policies are also reproduced in full at the foot of booking confirmation emails.

Some essential policies are universal to all bookings however:

  • Refunds are not given
  • Deposits are not charged
  • Full payment can be made no earlier than four weeks before the scheduled date of arrival
  • Full payment must be made no later than the end of day seven days ahead of arrival (which is referred to as the payment cut-off point), else a booking is automatically cancelled
  • Where payments have been made towards a booking on which an outstanding balance remains payable at the payment cut-off point, the system will cancel the booking and issue a credit for the balance of payments made thus far.
  • Bookings are subject to a booking lock-in point. This does vary depending on the field option and time of year, but is generally four days before the scheduled date of arrival. In that case, for a Friday arrival, make your final changes by Monday evening, because the booking will lock-in from 12am, Tuesday morning. Past the booking lock-in point: under no circumstance will credits be issued should you cancel or otherwise not attend on the dates you have booked for; the date of arrival can no longer be changed; the number of nights staying can no longer be reduced.
  • After a booking has locked in, the arrival date can still be brought forward, and the number of nights staying can still be increased. It is also possible to extend your stay at any point during your stay, right up until the end of your day of departure.

Need To Prebook

ALL ARRIVALS ARE BY PRIOR BOOKING ONLY

Because all of the availability that we have is released online, and that we don't operate payment facilities on site, it is strictly essential for all arrivals to be in possession of a valid booking placed through the online service.

Updating Bookings

Bookings are easily updated or cancelled online via the booking update service. Just click the booking update service button in your booking confirmation email (no password is required).

If you have misplaced your booking confirmation email, then click through to the booking service below, find where it says Access My Booking, and submit the email address used when placing the booking.

Groups & Placement

Groups

We welcome family-based group camping. With more than six tents or vans however, it is necessary to obtain prior permission from us before booking.

For all of the essential information on group camping, please click below

Being Placed With Friends

For groups that are not more than six tents/vans - or that have otherwise made arrangements with us for a greater number of tents/vans - we guarantee to provide a pitching area with adequate space to accommodate everyone that has added the same common group name to their booking.

For all of the essential information on groups however, including details of how to book, please click below:

Reserving a Pitch Location

Beyond the choice of field option, all pitch locations within the fields are allocated on arrival only.

We appreciate that many campers (and groups) might have a preferred pitch location they would like to request in advance (in their chosen field).

However, due to the flux of arrivals and departures each day in warmer months, it isn't at all practical for us to be able to promise any particular field location in advance we are afraid.

Social Events & Noise

Please note that the campsite site is all-quiet past 10.30pm.

Besides that stipulation, groups are welcome to hire a fire pit or two and gather together for a social event. It just needs to be kept in mind that this is a campsite in a rural environment - so noise does have to be kept down.

Note that prior arrangement is a requirement when more than six tents or vans wish to form a single camp.

Amenities

Although we are working on it, we don't yet offer an EV charging facility on site, and EVs cannot unfortunately be charged via our in-field electric hookup facilities, as these do not provide the necessary amperage. However, the following local supermarkets do offer EV charging.

Disabled Facilities

Many of the toilet/shower cubicles in our new facilities blocks are fully accessible and equipped for disabled users.

EHU, ELSAN, Water, Hardstanding & Grey Waste

Hardstandings for caravans and motorhomes are currently being installed, and will be available to book online when complete only.

There is an ELSAN (aka Chemical Waste Disposal) station for emptying black and grey waste. A tap for the purpose of filling water tanks is also available

We have some 60 electric hookups between the fields, but demand for these is high, so we recommend booking early especially when you will require hookup.

Ice Blocks

Ice blocks can be frozen in the freezer facility at reception.

Public Transport

The nearest public transport is at Angmering train station, 2.1 miles on foot from the campsite. Google provide directions here if you like.

You can check train timetables with Southern Railway at their website here.

Hot Water, Hair Dryers, Device Charging, Baby Changing

Two brand new facilities blocks have now been installed within the vicinity of both fields of the campsite (built 2022/2023). These blocks provide a number of individual units with their own toilet, shower (with free hot water), mirror, hot water sink, and baby changing facilities. There are also hot water washing up facilities at the rear of each block.

There are two electric sockets available for campers to use for device charging, hairdryers, blowing up air mattresses, etc. Note however, that these sockets cannot be used for kettles and definitely not for electric vehicle charging. Leaving devices unattended while charging is done entirely at the owner's responsibility.

Regulations

Music & All-Quiet After 10:30pm

Please note that the campsite site is strictly all-quiet past 10.30pm.
Music is permitted, but only when taking every consideration for others around you.

Please bear in mind that this is a rural setting where we wish to maintain a back-to-nature ambience.

So all radio/tv/music must be kept to the lowest of volumes only - so as not to be audible or disturbing to your neighbours in any way.

Dogs

Well-behaved dogs in sensible numbers are welcome - but must be kept on short leads (less than 2 meters) at all times.

The following dog breeds that have been classified under the dangerous dogs act are very strictly not permitted on the grounds whatsoever:

  • XL Bully
  • Pit Bull Terrier
  • Japanese Tosa
  • Dogo Argentino
  • Fila Brasileiro

No dog is to ever be left unattended.

Note that we reserve the right to require that an owner removes their dog from the campsite if it should be proving a nuisance or danger to other guests - or where any mess has not been immediately cleared away.

Youths

We may accept bookings for teenagers on request — on the condition that at least one person of 18 years old or over will also be in attendance for the entire trip, and where a parent/guardian has written to us in advance vouching for the good behaviour of the attendees.

Note that it is strictly forbidden for teenagers to book — or for an adult to book on behalf of teenagers — without having first sought and received our explicit permission for that event to go ahead.

Campfires

Campfires directly on the ground are strictly not permitted.

But we welcome you to hire a fire pit from us when booking, and then along with a bag of our kiln dried logs (purchased at reception), you can build a safe, but perfectly-sized little fire to cook and gather around.

Please note that, in the interests of ensuring no fire burns with too much smoke, it is strictly not permitted to bring along your own wood (of any type). But we do guarantee to always have bags of kiln-dried logs in stock at reception, which are not expensively priced. You can also bring along your own BBQ charcoal/briquettes if you wish.

Fire pits do not come with a griddle - so you will need to bring your own if you wish to prepare food on them.

When using a fire pit or BBQ, a bucket of water must always be kept close at hand - please bring your own bucket!

Car By Pitch

Cars are generally able to be parked directly within your pitching area. The exception to this is with commercial vehicles, which must always be left at the designated parking area for such vehicles, as directed by the warden.
